My passion is to motivate hairdressers to refine their skills by sharing my knowledge and expertise, as well as to push the limits within the industry to create art and take beauty to the next level behind my chair. I set my sights on the beauty industry at a young age and began my career in 2007. After joining Elizabeth Arden in 2009, I assisted the Lead Stylists’ and Educators through an acclaimed apprentice program, and soon found myself growing rapidly as I honed my skills through salon experience and a multitude of ongoing specialty trainings. I have also has been fortunate to work with many top industry artists that have mentored and inspired me. With now 17 years of experience in hair color, cutting, styling, and education as well as over a decade in a management role, I have fine-tuned my skills as a hairdresser, color specialist and educator, and strive to exude an unsurpassed enthusiasm that impacts the people that I am fortunate enough to inspire. With the knowledge she acquired, she became the head educator of the haircutting department at Studio 110. Karah then brought her passion for hair to a new, innovative salon in Chicago's West Loop- SalonDJ. The moment she walked in, she knew that this salon was meant to be her home. Karah's talent has allowed her to work on projects such as styling for Miami and New York Fashion Week as well as Fox News Studios in Chicago. Her meticulous attention to detail has made her an expert in precision cutting, tight fades, sculpting curly hair, extensions, and customized hair color. Eddie joined the SalonDJ team on a temporary basis initially, but in his own words when you ask him why he chose to stay he replies “because I’ve worked 20 years specializing in men’s & women’s haircutting and styling, and I need an excellent color department for my clients.
